Neil Barry – Senior Manager
Neil has worked in the insolvency profession for nearly 30 years, both at large medium-sized national practices and boutique firms specialising in particular sectors.
Manager of Insolvency Department of Regional Practice
In 2012, Neil was promoted from within to manage the Insolvency Department of a practice set up in conjunction with a top 40 firm of Chartered Accountants. He has been involved in assignments ranging from the 70-company restructuring of a leading London property rental group, to the investigation of a travel currency fraud with 12,000 creditors and a £20 million deficit, with successful recoveries of several millions of pounds.
Since then he has worked for a specialist restructuring practice managing the case portfolio transferred from a different firm, resolving issues across the whole spectrum of business and individual insolvencies/financial restructuring.
Neil joined Antony Batty & Co in July 2020
Neil was pleased to be offered the opportunity to join this firm to add to its existing management team and bring further experience to support clients and ongoing work for the practice.
Neil has historically been involved with both trading and non-trading assignments in sectors as diverse as tyre manufacturing, meat processing, jewellery wholesaling and firms of solicitors, dealing with larger firms to small family businesses. He understands that financial issues are not just about numbers, they are about people, and seeks to support clients on that basis.
