Lawrence King, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, K&W Recovery
Lawrence started his career in insolvency being interviewed by his then Manager, and now colleague, Matt Waghorn in 2005 at Oury Clark. Lawrence went on to become a Manager himself and having passed the JIEB in 2010 became a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. In 2018, Lawrence also became an ADR Group Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator.
Lawrence joined Critchleys in 2011 and became a partner in 2015 growing the department from 4 to 8 people. Lawrence handles all areas of insolvency but has a particular interest in investigatory and litigation-based work acting for a variety of different creditors and has strong contacts with many institutional creditors, solicitors and debt collection agents.
Along with Matt Waghorn he founded K&W Recovery Trading as Antony Batty & Co Thames Valley in June 2021, a joint venture with Antony Batty and Company. K&W Recovery is a separate entity from the rest of the Antony Batty & Company family, but works closely in collaboration with them.
In his spare time he enjoys watching both English League and American football, cooking, eating, keeping fit and spending time with his young family particularly by travelling when possible.
